Sell a house in bankruptcy or Chapter 13
Chapter 7, Chapter 13, or a case already filed — people search this when the house is still in the bankruptcy and the mortgage is behind, or a sale date is back on the calendar. We do not file bankruptcy. We do not be your trustee. We buy houses.
If the court or trustee will allow a sale of the house, the point is to sell it or get money for the house into that file. A Fort Bend first-Tuesday auction is not a sale you price. Fees stack. What you thought you would recover often is not there.
We write a purchase if title can actually transfer. Cash if the payoff works. A short sale if the lender has to take less — and the lender plus the bankruptcy file both have to allow it. That is slower, not faster. We do not promise the court will approve anything.
Bring the case number, the loan, and any notice. Houston metro. Talk about selling the house. If you want to keep the house through the case, start with who to call for free help — that is not our job.
We do not stop a foreclosure sale. We are the buyer, not your agent.
